Women’s golfers earn SEC academic honors

May. 5, 2017—Vanderbilt senior Kate Sborov has claimed the SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year award for women’s golf, and freshman Abbey Carlson was named to the All-Freshman Team. Sborov becomes the Commodores’ first-ever Scholar Athlete of the Year selection, while Carlson is Vanderbilt’s seventh All-Freshman Team member.

First time in VU history two golfers named first-team All-Americans
