May. 10, 2018—Two Vanderbilt students were honored for their stellar scientific research during the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Annual Scientific Retreat held May 3 at the Vanderbilt University Student Life Center.
Apr. 18, 2018—The potential link between the body’s microbiome and cancer is the topic of this year’s Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Scientific Retreat. The annual event, which features leading cancer investigators from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and several prominent universities will be held Thursday, May 3, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center.
May. 11, 2017—Ordinary cells can be transformed into cancer cells through epigenetics — changes to DNA that turn genes on or off. Those gene changes can protect cells or make them vulnerable to disease processes including cancer.
Apr. 21, 2016—Scientists, physicians, staff members and patients interested in the latest in cancer research are invited to attend the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) Annual Scientific Retreat to be held Friday, May 6, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., at the Vanderbilt University Student Life Center.
