New TIPs-funded autism innovation center kicks off its work

Sep. 13, 2017—The Vanderbilt Center for Autism and Innovation, funded by a 2017 TIPs grant, kicked off its work with a launch event at the Wond’ry last month. The center brings together engineers, scientists, disabilities researchers and business scholars from across campus to collaborate on how the talents of people on the autism spectrum can be better matched with business needs. ‘Introducing the Vanderbilt Center for Autism and Innovation’ Sept. 13

Sep. 6, 2017—Learn about the new Vanderbilt Center for Autism and Innovation from noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center, Room 241. This TIPs-funded initiative is aimed at developing an interdisciplinary model to enhance employment opportunities for individuals on the autism spectrum by identifying strengths and providing supportive and assistive technologies.
