Vanderbilt University continues to celebrate its Sesquicentennial with events and exhibits across campus, as well as with a new virtual platform and interactive photo mural that allow alumni, friends and fans of the university to celebrate the 150th anniversary from anywhere in the world. Vandyverse, a unique Vanderbilt experience best viewed on a desktop or laptop computer, lets users explore the Vanderbilt campus through virtual exhibits and engaging content that highlight key aspects of the university’s past and present. Daniel Sharfstein, the Dick and Martha Lansden Professor of Law and professor of history, will lead a conversation focused on Cherokee and Chickasaw students at Vanderbilt in the 1880s and 1890s, on Thursday, Aug. 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Central Library Community Room. Vanderbilt, Nashville Children’s Theatre bring life of Perry Wallace to the stage Sept. 7-26
Nashville Children’s Theatre will present the world premiere of Strong Inside, a stage adaptation of Andrew Maraniss’ acclaimed biography of SEC basketball and civil rights pioneer Perry Wallace, in a unique collaboration with Vanderbilt University.
