Vanderbilt University Police Department is investigating suspicious activity involving an individual applying opaque-colored tape to the lenses of campus security cameras to obstruct their intended field of view. Read More

Former VU student Dominic Lambert has been charged in an ongoing stalking investigation by Metro Nashville Police Department for repeatedly violating a restraining order. He has been released on bond and is believed to still be in the Nashville area. Lambert has been issued a directive to not be on Vanderbilt's campus. Should you observe him on campus, contact VUPS immediately at 615-421-1911. Read More

On Monday, Oct. 17, a female student reported to VUPD that she was sexually assaulted by an unaffiliated male guest in a residence hall on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022. Read More

On Sept. 20, 2022, VUPD received a report from a Campus Security Authority that a female student reported she had experienced a drug-facilitated sexual assault by a male student during the evening hours of Sept. 16, 2022, in on-campus housing. Read More

On Aug. 18 at 4:56 a.m., Vanderbilt Police was notified and responded to an assault report in the 2525 Garage.  Read More

On the evening of April 27, 2022, a female student reported to VUPD that she was grabbed on the buttocks by an unknown male while walking in the parking lot in front of Vanderbilt Law School. The suspect was last seen leaving campus in the area of 21st Avenue South and West End Avenue. Read More

On April 14, 2022, Marquez Alexander James was arrested by Metro Nashville Police in East Nashville. The VUPS Criminal Investigations Unit, working with BNA Airport Police, identified James as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest. Read More

On Jan. 31, 2022, VUPD was notified by a Campus Security Authority of three separate incidents in which female students reported they were groped by an unknown male in the area between and around 25th Avenue Garage/Highland Quad/Mayfield/West Garage. Read More

On Oct. 23 VUPD was notified by VUMC personnel that a VU student checked into the emergency department and reported she was sexually assaulted during the night in her campus residence hall room. Read More
