Classroom visiting period for faculty is Aug. 10–21 ahead of fall semester start
Aug. 5, 2020—Faculty may visit the classrooms in which they will teach undergraduate and graduate courses this fall from Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 21, as part of their preparation for in-person and hybrid teaching.
Return to Campus Update: Vanderbilt Phase II continues with readiness for further on-campus activities
Aug. 3, 2020—Vanderbilt has continued to successfully implement Phase II of its Return to Campus Plan and, as of Aug. 10, will have the criteria and systems in place to begin on-campus classes on Aug. 24 for all undergraduates and many graduate and professional students.

Wente to relaunch ‘Open Dore on Location’ series, invites faculty to discuss Return to Campus plans
Jul. 24, 2020—“Open Dore on Location” will be held in a new digital form due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and will initially focus on the university’s Return to Campus Plan and addressing faculty questions in a small, open-forum format. The second week of sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, and Friday, Aug. 7.
Information for undergrads spending time abroad this summer, including required form
Jul. 24, 2020—Per CDC guidance and Vanderbilt policy, any student reporting to campus for the fall semester from abroad or following international travel—whether they plan to live on or off campus—must self-quarantine for 14 days before coming to campus. All students arriving from abroad are asked to complete the International Pre-arrival Form on Anchorlink.
Complete COVID-19 Return to Campus Acknowledgement by Aug. 7
Jul. 22, 2020—All undergraduate students must complete the COVID-19 Return to Campus Acknowledgment for Undergraduate Students by Friday, Aug. 7.

Wente, Faculty Senate to co-host town hall on classroom safety July 20
Jul. 17, 2020—Provost Susan R. Wente and the Faculty Senate will co-host a virtual town hall for faculty focused on classroom safety—including classroom protocols—on Monday, July 20. The live webinar from 11 a.m. to noon also will include a moderated question-and-answer session.
Vanderbilt shares classroom health and safety protocols for upcoming academic year
Jul. 17, 2020—In close collaboration with faculty leaders, a team of subject-matter experts charged with researching and developing classroom protocols in response to COVID-19 has released a list of requirements and recommendations for classroom instruction for starting the 2020-21 academic year. The full list of protocols includes guidelines for in-classroom physical distancing, face mask/coverings, room entrances and exits, as well as recommendations regarding seating arrangements, equipment and technology.
