Feb. 18, 2020—The April 1 deadline to submit Immersion plan proposals is approaching for students who matriculated during the summer and fall of 2018. Students in all phases of Immersion project planning will find helpful resources at the “Spring Into Immersion” events hosted throughout the month of March.
Jan. 7, 2020—The Office of Immersion Resources and the Scientific Immersion and Mentorship student organization have partnered to organize Explorations in Research, an event designed to convene researchers from all disciplines for an evening of networking and discovery.
Jun. 20, 2019—A group of Vanderbilt students from a diverse array of majors took part in “the experience of a lifetime” when they participated in a faculty-led Maymester class that took them across France, including a stop at the Cannes Film Festival. Jan. 11, 2019—Tickets for "The Hate U Give" author Angie Thomas’ Feb. 13 lecture in Langford Auditorium are sold out; however, there will be a live stream available in Light Hall, Room 202, for those who were not able to procure a ticket. If seats become available in Langford on the night of the event, admission to the lecture for those without tickets will be available on a first-come basis.
Smith to serve as chair of Immersion Faculty Steering Committee; schools appoint key faculty leaders for program
Dec. 5, 2018—A new group of faculty members have been appointed to leadership and advisory roles designed to support the continued launch of Immersion Vanderbilt across campus.
Oct. 19, 2018—The iSeminars are intended to encourage first-year students to pursue their passions by modeling rigorous, compelling and unique projects in addition to exposing students to a particular seminar theme.
Oct. 18, 2018—The Nichols Humanitarian Fund enables Vanderbilt students to pursue humanitarian missions at home and across the globe. Interested students are encouraged to attend the annual reception and open house Oct. 25.
Sep. 23, 2018—In support of Design as an Immersive Vanderbilt Experience, the Center for Teaching is hosting a learning community this fall for faculty, staff and students interested in teaching design thinking.
Aug. 29, 2018—All undergraduate students involved in research, independent scholarship or creative activities in the past year are invited to showcase their work at the Sept. 27 event. Register online today.
