‘Vanderbilt Undergraduate Research Journal’ to publish first issue since 2015
Apr. 30, 2021—The "Vanderbilt Undergraduate Research Journal" is being revived after six years to serve as a valuable platform to publish articles demonstrating the wide array of research being done by Vanderbilt students as part of either their undergraduate progress or as the final, culminating piece of their Immersion Vanderbilt plan.
Excellence in Podcasting Competition underway; students invited to apply through May 17
Apr. 28, 2021—To showcase and honor explorations in audio storytelling, Vanderbilt University has announced the Excellence in Podcasting Competition, open to all undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

Apr. 26, 2021—The Office of the Vice Provost for Academic Affairs has awarded more than 150 students with stipends to support their research experiences this summer through the Vanderbilt Undergraduate Summer Research Program.
Virtual Spring Undergraduate Research Fair is April 22
Apr. 19, 2021—The first annual spring semester Vanderbilt Undergraduate Research Fair is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. With the inception of Immersion Vanderbilt, a spring version of the fair provides students with an additional opportunity to showcase their projects.

Apr. 2, 2021—The Vanderbilt Class of 2023 reached an important milestone for the university on April 1, when students submitted their first formal Immersion Vanderbilt plan proposals.

Mar. 19, 2021—Students in the Class of 2023 need to submit their Immersion Vanderbilt proposals by April 1. Advisers in the Office of Immersion Resources are ready to assist.
Register now for spring 2021 Undergraduate Creative Expression Showcase
Mar. 5, 2021—Presenter registration is open for the spring 2021 Vanderbilt Undergraduate Creative Expression Showcase, which will feature student-created projects that are representative of a variety of fields and disciplines. The virtual event begins April 13.
Students in Class of 2023 spring into immersion with March events; deadline to submit proposals is April 1
Mar. 1, 2021—Students in the Class of 2023 who still need to submit immersion plan proposals will find many events and resources designed to help them meet this goal. The Office of Immersion Resources has coordinated several events, workshops and informational sessions in the coming weeks to provide the help students need.
‘Explorations in Research’ networking event draws students, faculty, resource offices; attendees form new connections, ideas for immersion
Feb. 26, 2021—The Office of Immersion Resources and the Scientific Immersion and Mentorship student organization sponsored the third annual Explorations in Research event Feb. 23, drawing researchers from a variety of disciplines to engage in networking and discovery.
Immersion plan proposals due April 1; series of online events planned to help
Feb. 8, 2021—The April 1 deadline to submit immersion plan proposals is approaching for students who matriculated during the summer and fall of 2019 and those tracking with that class. The Office of Immersion Resources is joining with many campus partners to help students meet this goal.
Applications for Joe C. Davis Fund, which supports immersion projects, now being accepted
Jan. 27, 2021—The Office of Immersion Resources is currently accepting applications for the Joe C. Davis Fund to support Immersion Vanderbilt projects. Applications are open to all undergraduate students with qualifying immersive experiences.
Undergraduate Research Fair to be held virtually Oct. 8; register in advance
Sep. 28, 2020—The seventh annual Vanderbilt Undergraduate Research Fair is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 8, from 1:30 to 6 p.m. The virtual event will feature poster presentations of student research projects representative of a variety of fields and disciplines.
