May. 3, 2018—Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital’s newborn nursery showed its Nashville Predators Pride as they welcomed two of the team’s newest fans just in time for the NHL playoffs.

Jan. 4, 2018—Players from the Nashville Predators hockey team recently brought some holiday cheer to patients at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Players stopped by Seacrest Studios to play a game and then visited with patients throughout the hospital and clinics.

Oct. 11, 2017—Seven lucky Vanderbilt staff members joined Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos at the Nashville Predators' season opener Oct. 10 at Bridgestone Arena.
Oct. 5, 2017—Nashville Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne, Predators executive leaders, executives from Tri Star Energy (Twice Daily) and team mascot Gnash recently presented the proceeds of the team’s 365 Pediatric Cancer Fund to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Sep. 7, 2017—Like the rest of Nashville, Vanderbilt was bitten by the hockey bug as the city’s 20-year-old NHL expansion team, the Predators, battled the Pittsburgh Penguins in June for this year’s Stanley Cup. University photographer John Russell, who shot much of the action for the Nashville team (including the photo seen here), even helped enlist Vanderbilt’s mascot, Mr. C., to rally Preds fans in the final days of the championship series.
Jul. 13, 2017—Representatives from the Nashville Predators joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) leaders for a special reception to recognize the team’s historic season and the medical care provided by VUMC.
Jun. 15, 2017—Faculty, nurses and staff at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s at Vanderbilt gathered prior to the final game of the Stanley Cup to thank the Nashville Predators for an amazing hockey season, as well as for the tremendous support the team has provided over the past seven years to patients and families.
Jun. 13, 2017—Los Angeles native Christina Shaw had two powerful goals when she decided to move cross country to live in Nashville – the first was to support her favorite hockey team and the second was to meet a renowned lung cancer specialist at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
