Feb. 18, 2019—Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos will host a second town hall with faculty members on Friday, Feb. 22, to discuss the fundraising priorities that should drive the university’s next capital campaign.
Feb. 18, 2019—The Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center and the Program in American Studies invite Vanderbilt faculty, graduate and professional students, postdoctoral fellows, and staff to apply for an upcoming two-day workshop administered by the OpEd Project on the Vanderbilt campus. The nonprofit OpEd Project is a social venture founded to increase the range of voices and quality of ideas we hear in the world.
Feb. 11, 2019—Vanderbilt University employees and their families are invited to cheer on the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team as they take on the Florida Gators on Sunday, March 3. The free Employee Appreciation event begins with a Fan Fest at 12:30 p.m. in the Memorial Practice Gym, followed by the game at 2 p.m.
Feb. 6, 2019—Vanderbilt University’s annual Service Award Ceremony, which recognizes employees who celebrated significant service milestones in 2018, is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 3 p.m. in the Student Life Center Ballroom. Red carpet arrivals will begin at 2:45 p.m. All Vanderbilt University employees are invited to attend.
Jan. 31, 2019—Vanessa Beasley, associate provost and dean of residential faculty and associate professor of communication studies, will give a talk titled "Enough: Imagining a Political Culture of Worthiness in the United States" beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Vanderbilt Divinity School, Room 124.
Jan. 14, 2019—The Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center is seeking nominations for its annual awards that recognize and honor Vanderbilt community members for their contributions to the advancement of university women. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, Feb. 22.
