Hannah Stahl, BA’12, received Vanderbilt’s Margaret Stonewall Wooldridge Hamblet Award, allowing the means for travel and independent art activity for one year. She visited Italy, Amsterdam and Poland—where her trip to Auschwitz inspired 10 paintings of the faces of female prisoners, shortly before execution.
