Seven Commodores selected in MLB draft
Outfielder Enrique Bradfield Jr. was taken 17th overall by the Baltimore Orioles. Bradfield is Vanderbilt’s 22nd first-round selection in the Tim Corbin era (2003-present), which marks the most in the SEC. Commodore duo selected in top 10 of MLB draft
Vanderbilt student-athletes Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker, both pitchers for the Commodore baseball team, were selected on night one of the 2021 MLB draft Sunday evening. Leiter went second overall to the Texas Rangers, and Rocker was picked 10th by the New York Mets. Read MoreJul 12, 2021

Vanderbilt right fielder J.J. Bleday was selected fourth overall in the Major League Baseball draft by the Miami Marlins on Monday night, becoming the 16th Commodore in the last 15 years to be selected in the opening round.
