Jul. 15, 2015—This year, 450 international students from 55 countries—Armenia to Zambia—will arrive in Nashville to study at Vanderbilt. To help these students feel welcome and to ease the transition to American life, International Student and Scholar Services offers a way for them to connect with the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities through the First Friends program.

Mar. 20, 2015—At the next WOW, Vanderbilt anthropology student Gloria Clemencia Perez-Rivera will discuss “Rejecting the Return to Rural Lives: Urban Relocated Displaced People Challenge the State Compensation Law in Cartagena, Colombia.”

Feb. 20, 2015—World on Wednesdays presents "Kosher and Halal Food Offerings: Making way for Interfaith Dialogue at the table," on Feb. 25 at 12:10 p.m. at the Student Life Center.
Jan. 21, 2015—World On Wednesdays will present “Narrative of LGBTQI and Allied Identities Through an International Lens” from 12:10 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28.
