New Office of Inclusion Initiatives and Cultural Competence to promote cultural inclusivity, awareness
Jul. 23, 2015—IICC aims to help students develop the skills necessary to promote social justice and to have constructive conversations surrounding differences. Assistant Dean of Students Tina Smith has been promoted to associate dean and will lead IICC.
Jul. 15, 2015—This year, 450 international students from 55 countries—Armenia to Zambia—will arrive in Nashville to study at Vanderbilt. To help these students feel welcome and to ease the transition to American life, International Student and Scholar Services offers a way for them to connect with the Vanderbilt and Nashville communities through the First Friends program.
