May. 31, 2020—Dr. André L. Churchwell, vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion and chief diversity officer, reflects on the death of George Floyd, the age-old "virus" of racism, and the role universities, like Vanderbilt, can play in working toward a solution.

Mar. 30, 2020—Vanderbilt continues to be committed to fostering a safe and welcoming community that is inclusive and respectful of differences. As a university, Vanderbilt condemns expressions of hate, bias and discrimination in all forms.
Jan. 27, 2020—The Faculty Senate, in partnership with the Office for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and the Office for Inclusive Excellence, will host a series of unconscious bias training workshops for all faculty members during February.
Nov. 18, 2019—The third stop in a staff listening tour planned for the 2019-20 academic year will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in the Blair School of Music's Turner Recital Hall. All university staff are invited to attend.

Wente announces new council to advance university’s efforts around diversity and inclusion; annual diversity reports released
Sep. 4, 2019—Interim Chancellor and Provost Susan R. Wente has announced the details of a new council to advocate for diversity and inclusion across all areas of the university. The council’s work will be informed and guided by the 2018-19 Chancellor’s Diversity Report, released today.
