Sep. 18, 2019—The Vanderbilt community broadly endorses the direction the university has taken in the last decade and wants the next chancellor to continue that momentum, according to an analysis of responses to an online survey and other feedback efforts in the search for Vanderbilt's next chancellor.
Sep. 6, 2019—To prolong momentum in the search for Vanderbilt's ninth chancellor and enable as much participation in the search process as possible, the deadline for filling out the online feedback form has been extended to Monday, Sept. 9, at 10 p.m. CT.

Apr. 12, 2019—Vanderbilt University Board of Trust Chairman Bruce R. Evans has appointed a Chancellor Search Committee for Vanderbilt University’s ninth chancellor. The committee comprises current and emerita members of the Board of Trust and will lead efforts to search for and select a candidate for recommendation to the full Board of Trust.
Apr. 2, 2019—Vanderbilt University Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos announced today that he will step down as the university’s eighth chancellor on Aug. 15 after more than a decade in the role. Zeppos plans to take a yearlong sabbatical before returning to the faculty as professor of law.
Jan. 23, 2019—Vanderbilt University School of Nursing opened a new $23.6 million building expansion containing a state-of-the-art simulation lab, technologically advanced classrooms and student services offices with a grand opening and ribbon cutting event on Jan. 22.
