In support of its commitment to fighting health inequities, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing has launched an ambitious campaign to raise and match $1 million to support health disparity research. Dean Pamela Jeffries recently announced the school’s Nursing Health Equity Fellowship program, setting aside $1 million for health equity research at the school and asking VUSN supporters to make a 1:1 philanthropic match to fund this critical research. Each month, from September through November, the College Democrats and College Republicans will face off in front of a public audience composed of students, faculty, staff and community members. Shortly after each of these debates, the Advocacy, Dialogue and Debate Lab will host an Agnon Dialogue, during which approximately 50 student participants will have the opportunity to make their case in front of and have their arguments tested by their peers.  Read More

In reality, it’s a strategic Native Meadow full of pollinator-friendly plants. Since its inception, the meadow has flourished, and many faculty, staff and students have found ways to collaborate and interact with the space, thought of as a ‘living lab.’ Read More

Springtime in the Vanderbilt University Arboretum fills campus with buds and blooms, and new trees find their home across the grounds. At the beginning of April, people walking around campus may have noticed landscapers planting trees in the arboretum. The trees were planted in clusters across campus, including on Alumni Lawn and near Rand, Sarratt and Curry Field.   Read More

Bush Institute to share their thoughts and views on democracy, leadership and practicing good citizenship. These sessions took place April 10 in the relaxed environment of the Dialogue Vanderbilt offices.
