The Sustainabilty and Environmental Management Office urges employees to use the online Vanderbilt directory in conjunction with PeopleFinder instead of ordering the printed VU phone directory.

Fall Faculty Assembly: 60 endowed faculty chairs to be added over two years

Vanderbilt will invest substantial resources over the next few years to its faculty, announced Chancellor Nicholas S. Zeppos at Fall Faculty Assembly. This will include $15 million per year toward luring new faculty and the creation of 60 new endowed faculty chairs.

Mary Ann Cathey has The Last Word

Mary Ann Cathey is addicted to geocaching – a hobby she’d never even heard of a year ago.

The sport is a high-tech scavenger hunt in which a handheld global positioning satellite (GPS) is used to find expertly hidden containers with notes and treasures inside.

“It’s easy to start,” said Cathey, a patient service representative at Vanderbilt’s Surgical Weight Loss Center.
