Chancellor Daniel Diermeier congratulated the Class of 2022 for their “persistence, patience and above all, courage” during the past four years when he delivered his Commencement address at Vanderbilt Stadium on May 13. An estimated 14,000 guests joined graduates of the university’s 147th class during an in-person main ceremony that was livestreamed on Vanderbilt’s website.

Vanderbilt School of Nursing launches Tennessee’s first master of nursing degree |

In response to nationwide deficits of registered nurses, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing is launching a four-semester Masters in Nursing program. The program is open to people with a bachelor’s degree in other fields and will begin in spring 2023.

Tiffiny Tung, Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor and chair of the Department of Anthropology, and Bunmi Olatunji, Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor and director of clinical training in the Department of Psychology, were recently appointed associate provosts for doctoral programs and will lead efforts to enhance doctoral training, policies, student recruitment and experiences.
