First two episodes of ‘Unity Talks’ summer series now available
 
The first two episodes of the Vanderbilt Project on Unity and American Democracy’s “Unity Talks” series are now available for viewing. In episode one, Arts and Science Dean John Geer speaks with New York Times national political correspondent Jonathan Martin, and in episode two, former Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam speaks with Yuval Levin, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute.

Applications for Scaling Success Grants due July 6
 
The application deadline for the third cycle of the Scaling Success Grant program is Wednesday, July 6, at 11:59 p.m. The Scaling Success Grant supports faculty who are ready to scale up their work to increasingly impactful team research, scholarship and creative works, particularly in the form of larger awards from external sponsors.

HR announces new referral bonus policy
 
Vanderbilt University Human Resources has announced a new referral bonus policy. Starting July 1, employees may receive a bonus if they refer an individual who becomes employed by Vanderbilt University to a position that is difficult to fill or retain.

VLE is designed to develop key leadership skills for staff who are managers or operational leaders demonstrating high potential, and whose leadership position is between frontline supervisor and director.
