Nominations open for annual postdoctoral awards

Each spring the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs partners with the Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Association to recognize postdoctoral fellows who demonstrate excellence in research, service, mentorship and a commitment to the postdoctoral community. Further, faculty mentors who demonstrate willingness to share expertise and advice with our postdoctoral fellows are also celebrated.

This year, the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is introducing an expanded and redesigned award structure to elevate postdoctoral award recipient recognition. Award recipients will be honored during the Graduate Education Honors Banquet on March 19 at the Student Life Center.

Nominations are open for the following awards:

  • Postdoctoral Fellow of the Year
  • Postdoctoral Mentorship and Teaching
  • Postdoctoral Leadership
  • Postdoctoral Excellence in Innovation
  • Excellence in Postdoctoral Mentoring

The deadline for submitting nominations is Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 11:59 p.m. CT.
