Vanderbilt University showed gratitude to more than 2,000 staff, faculty and postdoctoral scholars on Tuesday, Dec. 16, with the university’s annual Turkey Toss extravaganza.

The 12-hour employee appreciation event was held in and around Carmichael College. It included snacks, an outdoor s’mores station, crafts, fun photo ops, branded scarves, a Turkey Toss–themed pin drop and more.
Chancellor Daniel Diermeier came out to help distribute turkeys, with halal and tofurkey options along with branded insulated bags.

More than 80 staff members also volunteered to work the event. All extra turkeys not picked up were donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
