Based on review of current weather forecasts for Nashville/Davidson County, the university will be open tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb. 19) with normal class schedules. This decision is consistent with the university’s policy, which states that Vanderbilt will remain open except in the most severe weather conditions.
Please be cautious as you navigate campus and the surrounding area. Those living off campus are encouraged to evaluate road conditions along their commute and to use discretion in choosing whether to travel to campus. Personal safety is the first priority.
If staff have questions about their work location or expectations, they should contact their supervisor. All supervisors are asked to be flexible for those staff who can perform their duties remotely or may wish to take paid time off tomorrow.
