Vanderbilt University may submit one proposal to The Nora Roberts Foundation: Grants Program.
Overview
The Nora Roberts Foundation believes literacy is a human right, and they have made supporting literacy organizations their highest priority. In order to create a beautiful, equitable, and safe world, The Nora Roberts Foundation also supports organizations focused on the arts, children, social justice, and the environment.
Grant proposal must have a primary focus in one or more of the following areas:
- Literacy
- Children
- Arts
- Social Justice
- Humanitarian
Award Information
The average grant from the foundation is $5,000. For first time grantseekers, the foundation recommends asking for $3,000 – $5,000. Budgets are required for requests of $10,000 or more.
While not necessary, the Foundation generally shows preference to groups local to the Maryland/DC/West Virginia area. The foundation has previously funded Universities as well as projects based in Tennessee.
