An aerial view of FirstBank Stadium in the Frist Athletics Village highlights the Vandy United campaign’s ongoing commitment to reimagining the footprint of Vanderbilt Athletics. Launched in 2021, Vandy United is an ambitious investment in the university’s student-athletes and athletics programs through major facility and operational enhancements.
The basketball practice facility, visible behind the north end zone of FirstBank Stadium, will open during the 2024–25 year. Supported most recently by a $20 million matching gift from an anonymous donor, the facility includes two practice gyms, student-athlete locker rooms and lounges, a weight room and access to Memorial Gymnasium, among other amenities for the men’s and women’s basketball programs.
A new videoboard, premium seating spaces and loge boxes in the north end zone sold out for the 2024 football season. Additional premium seating will open in the redesigned south end zone for the 2025 season, along with an expanded concourse, videoboard, multiuse building encompassing more than 130,000 square feet and dining facility for student-athletes.
Hawkins Field is receiving its own Vandy United refresh. Plans for the home of the two-time national champion VandyBoys will expand capacity and enhance the fan experience.
