Nominations open for annual postdoctoral awards

Each spring the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs partners with the Vanderbilt Postdoctoral Association to recognize postdocs who demonstrate excellence in research, service, mentorship, and a commitment to the postdoc community, as well as their mentors who demonstrate willingness to share expertise and advice, engage in service to the community at large, and participate in other mentoring activities.

The four awards that are presented each year are:

  • Postdoctoral Fellow of the Year
  • Postdoc Mentor of the Year
  • Postdoc Service Award
  • Faculty Mentor of the Year

The deadline to submit nominations for each award is Friday, March 1, at midnight.

In addition, an award recognizing an outstanding campus partner will be presented for the first time this spring.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow.
