Undergraduates: Take the annual Quality of Life Survey, help shape the student experience

Student Affairs and the Office of Undergraduate Education invite all undergraduate students to participate in Vanderbilt’s annual winter break Quality of Life Survey.

The survey’s purpose is to better understand the nature of the undergraduate experience at Vanderbilt. It is designed to assess your expectations about your studies, integration into communities, advising and other dimensions of the overall quality of student life.

The feedback we get from the QLS plays a big part in shaping university practices and resources. Historically, about one-third of the undergraduate population takes the QLS each year.

Please consider taking the survey to ensure that your experience is represented.

How to take the QLS

All undergraduates will get a personalized link to the survey at their Vanderbilt email address from noreply@answerkey.net. The QLS should take 20–30 minutes to complete and can be taken on a smartphone. The survey is completely anonymous, and answers cannot be traced back to you. A third party administers the QLS for Vanderbilt, and the data is returned to the university with no identifying information.

The survey will close on Jan. 31, 2024, and findings will be reported to students during the spring semester.

After you have completed the answer phase of the survey, you will have the opportunity to register your email and be entered to win prizes distributed by Student Affairs. Your survey responses are still anonymous when you register for the prize drawing. The prizes include

  • V150 Hatch Show Print posters
  • Vanderbilt hats
  • Vanderbilt umbrellas
  • Vanderbilt beanies
  • Vanderbilt coffee mugs
  • Vanderbilt quarter-zip sweatshirts

If you have questions about the Quality of Life survey, please email the survey administrator at surveys@vanderbilt.edu.
