Vanderbilt University is hosting several giveaways and discounts to show our appreciation for our staff and faculty’s hard work this year. Here is a reminder of what’s coming up:
- V150 Coffee Table Book
- Staff and faculty who reserved their free copy of the Vanderbilt Sesquicentennial coffee table book can pick up their copy at the Vanderbilt Bookstore on Friday, Dec. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. or Monday, Dec. 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- If you did not reserve a copy, there will still be a few copies available on a first come, first served basis. Please bring a photo ID or Vanderbilt ID to pick up your copy.
- We will also be hosting a special conversation between New York Times bestselling author Andrew Maraniss and University Archivist Kathy Smith at the distribution event on Dec. 18 from 2 to 3 p.m.
- Vanderbilt Bookstore
- To coincide with the V150 book distribution, the Vanderbilt bookstore is running a special discount for faculty and staff on Friday, Dec. 15, and Monday, Dec. 18.
- Faculty and staff receive an additional 10 percent off on top of their regular 10 percent, for a total of 20 percent off regularly priced clothing, general reading books and gifts.
- Some exclusions apply; see store manager for details.
- Turkey Toss
- On Friday, Dec. 15, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., faculty and staff can pick up their choice of a giveaway—a turkey, Tofurky or a set of special gift items (while supplies last). Participants must have a Vanderbilt ID or proof of employment to pick up an item.
