WeGo Public Transit has announced proposed service changes that will begin Sunday, March 31, 2024. The Vanderbilt community is encouraged to share feedback with WeGo through Dec. 18, 2023.
Vanderbilt’s public transit benefit provides all full- and part-time students, faculty, staff and postdocs with free access to WeGo local and regional buses and the WeGo Star with their physical Commodore Card. This service is available for any place and time WeGo operates, not only when commuting to and from campus.
Proposed changes to bus routes of note for spring 2024 Vanderbilt riders include:
- 75 Midtown – bus frequency will improve to every 20 minutes during peak operating hours and 30-minute frequency during off-peak hours, nights and weekends.
- 77 Thompson/Wedgewood – bus frequency will improve to every 30 minutes during peak operating hours and 45-minute frequency during off-peak hours, nights and weekends.
- Scheduling and routing adjustments related to the anticipated opening of the new Dr. Ernest “Rip” Patton, Jr. North Nashville Transit Center will be made to multiple routes, including 9 Metro Center, 14 Whites Creek, 22 Bordeaux, 41 Golden Valley, 42 St. Cecilia/Cumberland, 71 Trinity (a new crosstown route connecting the NNTC and Gallatin Pike) and 84 Murfreesboro.
