Vanderbilt University staff members stepped up to work over the winter break after a severe cold front swept through the Nashville area and caused frozen pipes and water damage in a handful of campus buildings.
Although most of the flooding was minimal, some buildings, such as the Law School, sustained more severe damage, and work to correct it is underway. The university is working directly with community members who have been most affected by the damage across campus. Students and faculty should check their classroom assignments before the start of the spring semester in case room assignments have changed.
The dedicated work of Vanderbilt staff members helped the university prepare the campus and prevent more flooding and damage. Staff worked diligently through the holidays to make campus the best it can be to welcome students, faculty and staff for the start of the semester.
