City to enhance public parking options in January, increase enforcement in Vanderbilt neighborhoods

Over the next six months, Metro Nashville will enhance public parking and curb management across the city as part of its new Smart Parking Program. The Nashville Department of Transportation will install new electronic meters and mobile payment options and will expand enforcement of meters, residential parking permits and other parking violations beginning Jan. 1, 2023.

Please be sure you are not parking in an area marked for residential parking permits only, as you will be ticketed accordingly.

With these changes to the city’s parking policies, you may choose to re-evaluate your parking and commute options. MoveVU’s updated parking calculator can help you make an informed choice.
