Dear colleagues,
As I mentioned during our all-staff meeting last month, Vanderbilt’s good reputation is one of our most valuable assets. When it comes to safeguarding and enhancing it, we all have a vital role to play.
Please join me at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15, for a virtual workshop on how to protect and enhance our reputation. The aim of our discussion will be to understand the factors and processes that shape reputation and the responsibility that each of us, as Vanderbilt community members, has in upholding it.
The workshop also will include conversations with other Vanderbilt leaders, including Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs C. Cybele Raver and Vice Chancellor for Athletics and University Affairs and Athletic Director Candice Lee. Vice Chancellor for Communications and Marketing Steve Ertel also will join us to share how his team works on strategies to manage the university’s reputation, partnering with schools and areas across the university to elevate Vanderbilt’s brand with external audiences. Communications and Marketing is also a resource for employees across the university to help safeguard and advance the school’s reputation. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions in a Q&A session. You can register for the workshop here.
Reputation management has long been a focus of my academic work, and it is essential to Vanderbilt taking its place as the great university of this century. I look forward to our workshop.
Sincerely,
Daniel Diermeier
Chancellor
