Overview
Vanderbilt University may submit one application per academic department to the 2023 Graham Foundation’s Production and Presentation Grants for Organizations.
The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts assists with the production and presentation of significant programs about architecture and the designed environment in order to promote dialogue, raise awareness and develop new and wider audiences. For organizations, the Graham Foundation has the following priorities:
- Supports organizations to take risks in providing individuals with a public forum in which to present their work
- Recognizes the vital role organizations play in providing individuals with a public forum in which to present their work
- Helps organizations to realize projects that would otherwise not be possible without their support
The foundation is most interested in opportunities to provide critical support at key points in the development of a project or career.
Production and Presentation grants assist organizations with the production-related expenses that are necessary to take a project from conceptualization to realization and public presentation. These projects include, but are not limited to:
- Publications
- Exhibitions
- Installations
- Films
- New media projects
- Conferences/lectures
- Other public programs
*Applications for Publication Support: Unless the applicant is a publisher, an organization applying for publication support should have a committed publisher for the work; that is, a publisher with whom you have a contractual agreement to publish your project.
Guidelines: Projects must have clearly defined goals, work plans, budgets and production and dissemination plans. The foundation stresses the following four criteria for successful projects: originality, potential for impact, feasibility and capacity.

Internal application process
Interested faculty should visit https://vanderbilt.infoready4.com/#competitionDetail/1858225 to apply for the internal LSO competition and to find additional information about the opportunity. The deadline for the internal competition is Dec. 9, 2022.
The chosen nominee(s) will submit a full proposal to the foundation by the deadline of Feb. 25, 2023.
