Healing Through Art Gallery Night is Nov. 8; submissions due Oct. 21

The University Counseling Center is celebrating the creative arts as a fun and meaningful form of self-expression and self-care in a big way this year. The Vanderbilt community is invited to the inaugural Healing Through Art Gallery Night on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the UCC, where the artwork of students will be on display.

“Transformation” is this year’s theme for the Healing Through Art gallery. Attendees are welcome to journey through the gallery and reflect on what transformation means to them and enjoy creating their own artistic expressions. Stop by and explore how art can be a form of self-care for you.

Interested in sharing your own artwork at the Healing Through Arts Gallery Night? Please complete and submit this form by Friday, Oct. 21. Your artwork initially will be presented for public viewing at the UCC’s inaugural Healing Through Art Gallery Night, then will remain on display for one year and primarily be viewed by students seeking UCC services.

The intention of the Healing Through Art initiative is for students visiting the UCC to be surrounded by the stories, voices and support of the Vanderbilt community. Our hope is that the artwork will serve as visible reminders that you are not alone.
