AlertVU test scheduled for Sept. 15

Vanderbilt University Public Safety will conduct a test of the AlertVU emergency notification system on Thursday, Sept. 15, at 2:30 p.m.

AlertVU rapidly sends notification messages in the event of an imminent threat or danger to the Vanderbilt community.

All Vanderbilt University and Medical Center students, faculty and staff are automatically enrolled in the system using their university and Medical Center email addresses.

Employees can register other contact points, such as cell or home phone numbers or personal email accounts, to receive AlertVU messages* when they are away from their Vanderbilt email accounts. Update your information through Oracle; instructions are available on the AlertVU website.

Additionally, all Vanderbilt employees should review and confirm their emergency contact information. In the event of an emergency or accident, the university will use the information provided in Oracle. For instructions on how to update your emergency contact information, please use the Help Center in Oracle.

Medical Center employees will be directed to C2HR. Instructions on how to update your contact information in C2HR are available on the AlertVU website.

For more information, contact Jessamyn Davis.
