To increase pedestrian safety between the Peabody College campus and the Village at Vanderbilt apartments and townhomes, stop signs have been added to South Drive to create two new intersections. The speed limit on South Drive will remain 10 mph.
Vanderbilt University Public Safety encourages community members who drive on campus to be aware and respectful of pedestrians in this area. As a pedestrian, whether you are walking to class or crossing a street, pay attention to your surroundings. Wearing headphones and/or texting while traversing campus places pedestrians at risk when crossing the street.
