Kensington Place between Natchez Trace and 25th Avenue South is closed as of Aug. 8 as part of construction for the upcoming Vandy United projects in the Athletics Neighborhood.
The Kensington and 2525 West End parking garages will remain open to vehicular traffic. The Marriott Hotel will remain open, and visitors should enter the hotel from Natchez Trace.
The area will be closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic for the duration of the project, including the sidewalk at the corner of Kensington Avenue and Natchez Trace. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic should instead take 25th Avenue North to West End Avenue to cross over to Natchez Trace, or take 25th Avenue South to Jess Neely Drive to Natchez Trace. The routes around the construction area are marked with signs.
These routes are accessible, but if you need additional assistance, a pre-approved MobilityRide can be scheduled for a student, faculty or staff member with mobility needs. Faculty and staff may contact the Equal Opportunity and Access Office, and students may contact the Student Access Services Office to get pre-approved.
