The SENSE Lab is currently recruiting adults with autism spectrum disorder to be part of a study that examines an intervention, SENSE Theatre, targeting improvement of social skills in adults with ASD. We are looking for 18- to 40-year-old men and women with ASD to join our study.
Participation includes psychological testing (2-3 hours), social interaction and EEG tasks (1-2 hours), enrollment in the SENSE Theatre intervention (once per week for 10 weeks) or waitlist control group (will participate in the intervention after the initial treatment group), and assessments before, during and after the intervention. SENSE Theatre was developed around building social competencies and skills by using typically developing peers as partners to help teach the program.
To learn more about the study, please contact the SENSE Lab at 615 936-8007 or senselab@vumc.org.
