UPDATE 6/30/22: This work has been rescheduled for mid-July and will NOT take place on July 2.
A southbound lane of 21st Avenue at Edgehill Avenue will be closed on Saturday, July 2, due to crane work at the VUMC Medical Center North building.
The sidewalk in front of the building also will be closed from approximately 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pedestrians are encouraged to cross over to the east sidewalk during this work (see map below).
Only one southbound lane is expected to be closed, allowing for traffic flow to continue. For the safety of vehicles and pedestrians, traffic controllers and signs will be on site. A flagger also will be stationed at the pedestrian bridge at Edgehill Avenue to assist with pedestrian and bicycle traffic.
