Vanderbilt University may submit only one application per calendar year to the ALDI Cares Community Grants program.
Through ALDI Cares Community Grants, ALDI partners with local organizations in communities where they have stores, warehouses, offices and conduct business, with a primary focus on improving children’s health and wellness and food insecurity while supporting diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
ALDI encourages applications that support children through education, arts, athletics or addressing food insecurity in the local community. Some examples of activities supported include physical activity, nutrition, education, the arts, food drives and food relief programs.
ALDI Cares Community Grants do not support:
- Individuals or families. We will not consider donation requests from individuals or families, i.e., for personal assistance, scholarships, stipends, grants, athletic sponsorships or other forms of individual or family support.
- Political candidates, campaigns, committees or organizations.
- Religious activities, in whole or in part, for the purpose of furthering religious doctrine. Faith-based organizations must provide services to all community members regardless of denomination.
- Research grants.
- Individual, collegiate, Greek organizations or fraternity/sorority-related events or fundraisers.
Community grants range from a minimum of $100 to a maximum of $5,000. The PI selected to go forward is highly encouraged to submit early as ALDI’S program funds may already be fully awarded by the December due date.
