Share your thoughts on traveling through downtown for mobility and transit improvements

The Nashville Department of Transportation is working in partnership with WeGo Public Transit, the Nashville Downtown Partnership and the Tennessee Department of Transportation to make getting through downtown easier with the Connect Downtown project.

Efforts to improve access from Vanderbilt’s campus to downtown and within the downtown core will improve safety and accessibility for those walking, biking and riding the bus for meetings, entertainment, shopping and dining.

We encourage Vanderbilt community members to review the Connect Downtown summary document and to sign up for project updates. To help NDOT better understand transportation challenges facing you, please take this survey about how you get around downtown to ensure that Vanderbilt perspectives are well represented.

MoveVUMoveVU is Vanderbilt’s strategic transportation and mobility plan that falls under the FutureVU comprehensive campus planning efforts. The vision of MoveVU calls for a transformation in how the Vanderbilt community commutes to campus, with less reliance on single occupancy vehicles and parking lots and a greater focus on sustainable commute modes, green spaces and a forward-thinking use of limited downtown space.
