Dr. André L. Churchwell, vice chancellor for equity, diversity and inclusion and chief diversity officer, will join his brothers, Drs. Kevin and Keith Churchwell, as keynote panelists for Becker’s Healthcare’s 12th annual meeting in Chicago.
The three health care executives will speak together in a keynote panel discussing “CEO, Leadership and Strategy Issues” on Monday, April 25. Other speakers at the event include Peyton Manning, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Nikki Haley and John C. Goodman.
Beyond his work at Vanderbilt and VUMC, André Churchwell has served on numerous medical school committees. In 2015, he was appointed to the Board of Trustees for Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn., where he serves as the Governance Committee Director and offers best practices on leadership and board diversity practices. Churchwell was also named to the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering in 2016 for his work in biomedical engineering education.
Kevin Churchwell is president and chief executive officer of Boston Children’s Hospital. He has held multiple roles there, including that of chief operating officer. He also is a member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Hospital Association. He served as CEO of Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital during his time at Vanderbilt.
Keith Churchwell, a longtime Vanderbilt physician, is president of Yale New Haven Hospital. He also is a member of the board of directors for the American Heart Association.
The annual Becker’s Healthcare event brings together leading hospital organizations and executives to discuss the most pressing issues facing hospitals and health systems today.
