Emily Nagoski to speak on the science of sexuality Feb. 17 – CANCELED

Author and sexuality educator Emily Nagoski will be a featured presenter on Thursday, Feb. 17, during Sex Ed and Healthy Relationships Week. Nagoski will discuss “Demystifying the Science of Sexuality” beginning at 5 p.m. CT via Zoom.

Nagoski began her career as a sex educator in 1995, when she became a peer health educator as an undergraduate student at the University of Delaware. She earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology at Indiana University, completing clinical internships at the Kinsey Institute Sexual Health Clinic and the IU GLBT Student Support Services Office. She also has a Ph.D. in health behavior with a concentration in human sexuality from Indiana University.

After working for eight years as a lecturer and director of wellness education at Smith College, Nagoski started to write and speak full time. She now trains professionals, teaches college students and other lay people, and researches the science and art of sexual well-being.

Nagoski’s books include Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle (written with her twin sister, Amelia) and Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life, now in a revised edition.
