Employees recently hired or promoted to the role of supervisor or manager are invited to participate in New Leader Orientation.
The program, conducted by the Vanderbilt University Human Resources Learning and Engagement team, will be held virtually on Thursday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The session will include a one-hour lunch break.
The topics covered in New Leader Orientation include the following:
- HR consulting and employee and labor relations
- Leave management and workers compensation
- Leadership and recognition
- Oracle finance functions
- Emergency preparedness and workplace safety
- Diversity, equity and inclusion

As a reminder, Module 2 of Compliance Fundamentals will take place virtually on Monday, Dec. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to noon and cover material on the following topics:
- Workplace accommodations
- FMLA
- Workers compensation
