VERA soft launch phase 2 begins Nov. 1; VERA launched for proposals

VERA is now available for Vanderbilt users to submit system-to-system proposals to NIH, in addition to creating and routing all proposals for administrative review.

Users can log in to VERA using their VUnetID and password at vera.vanderbilt.edu.

Use VERA to do the following:

  1. Create all proposals due to a sponsor on or after Nov. 1. (Note: Coeus will be available with read-only access beginning Nov. 1.)
  2. Route all proposals for administrative approvals. (Note: The required documents and timeline for a full proposal administrative review are detailed here.)
  3. Optionally submit NIH proposals system to system using the VERA SF-424 capability, if not using NIH Assist.

For tips on how to use VERA, see the VERA training site for guides and how-to videos, or sign up for a VERA training via Oracle Learning.

If you need help using VERA, email verahelp@vanderbilt.edu for assistance, or visit VERA office hours.

This is the second of multiple phases in the university’s transition to VERA from Coeus and PEER. See https://research.vanderbilt.edu/vera/ for full details of the phased transition.
