Memorial tribute scheduled on campus for Vereen Bell

A memorial tribute for Vereen M. Bell, a beloved professor of English, emeritus, will take place on Saturday, Oct. 30, on Wilson Hall Terrace. The event, which will have limited seating, begins at 3 p.m. with a reception to follow at 4:30 p.m.

Bell, who had a transformational influence on countless students and pushed for greater diversity at Vanderbilt, died at his home in Nashville on Aug. 24. He was 86 years old.  For more information, please contact the Department of English at 615-322-5597.
