Tutoring Services now offers one-on-one tutoring as well as group sessions both online and in person at the Curb Center building as part of the university’s expanding efforts to support undergraduate student success. Sessions are available Sundays through Thursdays from 1 to 10 p.m.
In addition, starting this fall students can tap into Tutoring Services’ community of support at a new location on campus, the Commons Center’s Fireside Lounge (Room 107).
“My students report that the group sessions are very useful at Tutoring Services,” said Katherine Clements, senior lecturer in chemistry. “They say there is always a high demand for them. I’m happy that students are offered options to get extra help that they may need to excel academically.”
On Sundays and Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m., the Fireside Lounge hosts weekly learning roundtables for General Chemistry (CHEM 1601), during which up to 10 participants and a tutor work together to review materials and answer each other’s questions. Joining a weekly roundtable is a great way to bring camaraderie and social support into your study routine, while regular review can help you build both confidence and retention.
On Sundays and Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m., drop-in tutoring in a wide range of courses is available.

- Introduction to Biological Sciences (BSCI 1510 and 1511)
