A message from Chancellor Diermeier and Provost Raver on Hurricane Ida resources and support

As officials take stock of the damage caused by Hurricane Ida, our thoughts are with the people of Louisiana and Mississippi as well as those members of our community who are from these areas and have loved ones affected by this tragedy.

Please know that Vanderbilt is committed to supporting members of our community – particularly in times of distress or crisis, and we have reached out to students impacted by the storm. We encourage you to draw on the university’s support services, included below, when needed.

Campus residents may contact their resident advisers or the Office of Housing and Residential Experience for assistance.

Undergraduate, graduate and professional students who have been affected by personal circumstances resulting from Ida and have financial aid concerns should call the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Sincerely,

Daniel Diermeier
Chancellor

Cybele Raver
Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs
