Event to mourn passing of VU staff member Amber Pursley set for June 25

Amber Pursley, a staff member in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, died suddenly on Monday, June 21. Pursley’s family wishes to mourn privately and has requested that no flowers or donations be sent. Her obituary can be found here.

To help process this loss, an in-person grieving session open to the entire Vanderbilt community will be held on Friday, June 25, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Great Room of E. Bronson Ingram College. Those who would like to participate by Zoom should email ovpr@vanderbilt.edu for the link.

A celebration of Pursley’s life is being planned for later this summer. Details regarding this event will be announced in the coming weeks.
