COVID-19 vaccinations available for 12–15-year-olds through VUMC

After the FDA emergency authorization approval of the Pfizer vaccine for 12–15-year-olds, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has begun offering vaccine appointments for children and teenagers meeting the state criteria.

Those with appointments will receive the Pfizer vaccine, as it is currently the only vaccine approved for this age group.

Children younger than 18  must  have a parent or legal guardian with them for the vaccine administration.

Parents can schedule their child’s vaccine by  signing up through the child’s  My Health at Vanderbilt  account, through the  VUMC Vax scheduling tool  or by calling the COVID hotline at 888-312-0847.  Parents  or guardians will be eligible to schedule their vaccine at the same time as their child.

Locations  to receive the vaccine  will be at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and at  VUMC’s  One Hundred Oaks  location.
