Vanderbilt’s Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy and the ArtLab studio at the Wond’ry will open See You Again: Students Respond to COVID-19 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s hospital gallery on Monday, May 3.
The collaborative art exhibit was created in response to the Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccine rollouts. Curb Scholars were asked to produce a creative response to their experience of COVID-19. Each artist worked in a medium of their choosing—painting, graphic design, collage, music, film or poetry. Some worked in multiple art forms and collaborated with one another. While their styles and choices range widely, each piece in the exhibit offers an entry point to the interior lives of those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
ArtLab is directed by Assistant Professor of Pharmacology Kendra Oliver and supported by the Wond’ry, Communication of Science and Technology and the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation.
