Vanderbilt’s Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy and Metro Arts will host a free virtual event, “The Role of the Artist in Crisis and Recovery,” on Wednesday, April 21, at noon CT.
Curb Public Scholar Emily Habeck will moderate a roundtable conversation with Nashville artists Elisheba Israel Mrozik, Taria Person and Pam Marlene Taylor. The artists will discuss how the pandemic has shaped their artistic practices, how they see the role of the artist in recovery, meaning making, healing, and what creatives need right now to thrive.
